Helsinki Rescue School

Helsinki Rescue School was founded in the spring of 1972 and is the oldest institution in Finland that trains rescuers. The school graduates rescue professionals who are equipped to act as safety experts in accident prevention, a wide range of rescue operations, emergency care, and ambulance services.

Apply to Helsinki Rescue School

Applications for the Rescue School’s rescuer courses, starting in August 2025, will open at the end of November 2024. At that time, applicants can schedule their physical tests, which will be conducted between December and January. After the physical tests, the selection process will continue with aptitude tests.

Helsinki Rescue School is a small, community-based school where instructors and students work closely together, with ample resources to meet individual needs. The school also offers excellent opportunities for independent training and exercise, including a well-equipped gym for physical activity. Additionally, there are good opportunities for self-guided exercise and practice outside of school hours.
